I tried my hand at some resin paintings a couple of years ago, it's a messy process and space is required. In my last house I didn't have a creative space to call my own, it was the kitchen worktops, which made life a bit tricky as I had to clear everything away by 5ish to be able to return to being mum.....Thankfully I now have my own space, a converted garage in the garden, so I'm wanting to give resin painting another go without worrying where I'm going to peel the potatoes.

I love seeing artists techniques and always pick up a useful tip or two.  I came across this great Australian art series a year or so ago.  It's presented by Graeme Stevenson, an Australian artist who has probably has one of the best jobs ever as he gets to visit other artists around Oz, spending time with them in their studios as they explain their various mediums and techniques.  I recommend you have a look and discover 'Colour In Your Life' if you haven't come across it before, it's a great series and a really useful insight into the working lives of artists. As mentioned, I love big, bold colours on large scale paintings, so was really keen to watch this video which encompasses the big and the bold in resin.  Watch and enjoy...
